Anchor's Away! If you're looking for a sailing companion, you've found it!
This sailing buddy measures 3" tall by 2 1/4" at its widest. This combination of numerous assorted beads and crystals banded together promotes what might be viewed as an anchor seemingly sheathed in undersea crustaceans. That said, however, these little crystal and rhinestone freeloaders' shimmer and sparkle like a beacon of light. An easy open/close bar pin, permanently secured under the black faux leather backing, insures you will never lose your brooch due to a faulty clasp.
"May you have fair winds and following seas!"
Did You Know: In ancient times a large stone was tied to a rope and thrown over the side to keep the boat steady. The Ancient Greeks perfected that method and created the first real anchor by filling numerous large buckets with many stones and tossing them over the side. The buckets would settle onto the dirt at the ocean floor, thus keeping the ship in place.
Thank goodness the modern Anchor is much easier to make and wear!
